Wine and Gastronomy Events

Yecla has four wine and food events associated with the Yecla Wine Route for a great wine, food, and folk experience: the ‘Wine and Tapas Route’, the ‘Veraison of Monastrell’, ‘European Day of Wine Tourism’, and the ‘Wine Fair’.

Veraison of Monastrell

This festival marks the Veraison of Monastrell, which is a magical moment worthy of celebration. The veraison process occurs in summer and is considered the start of a countdown that allows the time of the harvest to be calculated, which occurs approximately two months later.

Harvest Festival and Folklore Festival

At this event, you can enjoy the scene of the grape crushing and taste the first Monastrell grape juice, the Folklore Festival, and a tasting of wine, grape juice, and tapas. It is an opportunity to enjoy the whole Monastrell culture.

European Day of Wine Tourism

The Yecla Wine Route joins the celebration of the European Day of Wine Tourism every year. This occurs in November, along with Red Wine Night, in which we enjoy wine, tapas, and live music in the heart of one of the wineries, and the Sunday morning Wine Tourism Marathon.

Wine and Tapas Route

Try the best and most well-prepared tapas of Yecla, accompanied by our Yecla DO wine. The event is held at partner establishments associated with the Yecla Wine Route. It consists in tasting a special tapa created by each establishment, along with a glass of Yecla DO wine at a reduced price.
