“Bodegas La Purísima” was founded in 1946 by several farmers who joined to improve the quality of the wines from Yecla. Their determination and good will for elaborating great wines led them to obtain in 1975 the title of Designation of Origin. This was quite an achievement for the farmers, who registered the Designation of Origin nº 27, the Designation of Origin Yecla, making it the only one whose limit is in the boundaries of the municipality, like with the most prestigious AOC (controlled denomination of origin) in France.
Bodegas La Purísima recommends you:
“Tour around San Francisco church, calle de San Francisco, The Sanctuary of the Purísima Concepción Castle-Basílica, the Town Hall and the “Iglesia Vieja” (Old Church) reaching the Sanctuary and finally enjoy panoramic views of the town.” José Requena Abellán
