Customer courtesy:
There is nothing more interesting than meeting people full of history and being able to share what is most valuable: our time.
‘In the past, Emilio’s carpentry shop was on the lower floor, with tools of the era and the smell of fresh wood. One day, like a great traveller from Yecla, I had the idea of providing shelter for travellers and friends that arrived in our city. We have created an enchanting place, a second life for objects that didn’t seem to be needed any more, but which we have recycled and improved with much emotion.’ (Javier)
Wood & Stone Hostel recommends:
‘Walking through the corners of Yecla, natural settings enwrapped with history, discovering its traditionally artistic people, renovators at heart. Enjoying the city of furniture like this is incredible, drinking the wine and enjoying the cuisine. Observing the years of woodworking history. Waking up in Yecla and paying tribute to yourself with tortas fritas, a walk up Monte Arabí, enjoying some gazpachos, walking up to the ‘Castle’ through the old town, and making a stop for tapas and wine, glancing at the clock in the plaza, and visiting the Yecla Archaeological Museum with its history.’ (Javier)
