The “Coto Salinas” Nature Classroom is located in an incomparable setting, an area which has been able to integrate human potential and conservation of its valuable wealth of flora and fauna.
The Classroom is located southeast of the municipality of Yecla (Murcia), at the foot of Sierra Salinas. It is located in the old houses belonging to the agronomists of “Coto Salinas”, which were built at the beginning of the 20th century, a period during which the “Colony” (Colonia) had been settled in the aforementioned mountain range.
It is 16 kilometres from the town centre. The access is through the road C-3223, connecting Yecla with Pinoso, part of its route coincides with the road connecting Villena with Pinoso. We take the turnoff to the kilometre 12 towards Sierra Salinas through an asphalted road 1.6 km long leading directly to the buildings of the Nature Classroom.
The Classroom can only be used on weekends and holidays (closed in August).
The visits must be fundamentally aimed at carrying out environmental activities (routes, visits to places of interest, informative talks on environmental issues, workshops, games…etc.)
Applications to use the “Aula de la Naturaleza” (Nature Classroom) must be compulsorily accompanied by:
- The environmental activities project (the model shown below can be used for this purpose).
- Receipt of deposit payment- €100 (set by the municipal minute J.G.I. of November 6, 2012).
- When using the bedrooms: -Receipt of the set fee payment (€6,01 per person/night).
